Cancer Care
Holistic Support & Relief
Institute of Palliative Medicine (IPM) - Matara
Terminal patients who no longer require treatment at a hospital need a peaceful environment to spend their days. Their families may not have the means or training to provide them with good care.
IPM is the first institute dedicated for Palliative Medicine in Sri Lanka. It features a fully functioning hospice, research, and training center situated in Nupe, Matara.
Our projects aim to address the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of cancer patients — whether they are survivors, currently receiving treatment, or terminal patients who have opted to halt treatment. We also take into consideration the needs of family members and caregivers.
